Andrew Bryant, Thayer Sarrano, Susto

Mississippi songwriter Andrew Bryant is known as one-half of the roots-rocking group Water Liars, which has received glowing press for its two full-lengths. But Bryant has been showcasing his songwriting skills via a fruitful solo career for over a decade. This Is the Life, his sixth LP, out Jan. 27, is an amiable collection of folk tunes that nods to early-’80s Springsteen and Muscle Shoals soul. Drive-By Truckers/Dexateens bassist Matt Patton provides assistance throughout. Thursday at Normaltown Hall, Bryant will perform in between sets from local songstress Thayer Sarrano and Charleston Americana outfit Susto.
