Who says Britpop has to come from Britain? Well, OK, so maybe this band partially does. Spring Tigers' frontman Kris Barratt found himself in Athens when his band The Capes was abandoned mid-tour by its label, unable to come up with the funds to fly home to England. Luckily, in the meantime he fell in love with an Athenian, got hitched and made the move to the town. He wasted no time assembling his new project, and after shuffling through a number of configurations and lineups, as new bands tend to do, he settled with a vivacious four-piece that's already been to SXSW and back.
