With the self-proclaimed "fastest drummer in Georgia's punk scene," So It Goes infuses unique melodies and harmony in its punk rock sound - adding elements of Spanish rock, folk and ska. All that, plus socially conscious lyrics that can inspire change as much as the music inspires dancing. The group started in Atlanta earlier this year, but since then three out of four members have relocated to Athens. "I have always loved Athens and always wanted to move there," says Brown who transfered to UGA as a sociology major. "I have always been interested in music and sociology, so that is probably why I play in a punk rock band that sings about social issues." Also interesting to note, the band's name (although the expression is broad enough to come from just about anywhere) was pulled from Kurt Vonnegut's novel Slaughter House-Five.
