Silence Before Sunrise

This month sees another Upstart band featuring members of the UGA Redcoats! Both drummer Davis and bassist Goldsmith are members of the prestigious drumline, but this is no marching band. "SBS is trying to change the scene in Athens," says Goldsmith,"by bringing a new type of music separate from jam bands, cover bands, etc." Equipped with "a screamer" plus two singers, SBS focuses on creating pulsing vocal harmonies, intense breakdowns and catchy guitar melodies. The group was originally based in Alpharetta and maintains a strong presence in the 'burbs.
