Launched in August of this year, Harp Unstrung fits nicely into Athens' bar scene. Despite the edgier alternative acts the band names as influences, the live tracks on Harp Unstrung's MySpace point to more bluesy, acoustic Southern roots. Somehow even when singing about a "girl that used to work at Hooter's," Harp Unstrung's vocalists sing tenderly, melodically and with a strong sense of harmony.
